Atlas Table
The Challenge
The client wanted a 14-foot-long solid wood table that felt vintage-inspired and could comfortably seat guests all the way around—without losing legroom to traditional table legs.
The piece also needed to remain true to heritage craftsmanship and persist over years of use at the family vacation space.
The Solution
We designed a trestle-style table with decorative gabled ends inspired by 1970s furniture forms. The subtle curves and joinery make it feel both sculptural and understated.
The top rests on long rails engineered to maintain flatness over time and connects securely using a series of traditional furniture buttons.
