Steve the Rack

Steve is reliable and trustworthy. His gleaming brass arms and perfectly round balls will hold your hat, your coat, and also your scarf. Steve began his life as a tree c. 1812 in the greater Hamilton area. Around 1900, he changed careers and became the main beam of a house in historical downtown Dundas. In 2014 he was replaced by a fresh young beam, and salvaged by Hamilton Holmes. Recently Steve has begun a new career as a rack for coats.

Steve is made from solid pine. The coat hooks are made from solid brass 1/2” bar, and the base is filled with concrete to stabilize the rack.
