Lakeside Table

Designed and built as a commission in accompaniment with the Lakeside Credenza. This dinning table has a minimalist simplicity, but it's construction is complex.  The top is solid Sapele and is secured to the base with an H shaped solid wood under frame. The base is an octagonal prism that is veneered with shop sawn veneer and stabilized with cast cement weights. Watch the video to see how this table comes together.

60" diameter, 30" high

Book matched shop sawn veneer panels. We went with shop sawn veneer to both give the opportunity to book-match, as well as to provide a durable surface. You can also see the hardware that attached the outside shell to the internal structure of the table.
